Beer Brothers is Preston’s premier brewery, established in 2015. We have grown from strength to strength, now supplying our products by the bottle, keg and cask to local bars and licensed outlets, as well as selling all of our products via our on-site shop and website. We use state of the art equipment and techniques to create high quality craft and real ales - a modern twist on pub classics. Head over to ‘Our Beers’ to find out more about the exceptional beers we have on offer.

Co-Owners Phill Leyland and David Reece first met at school and have been firm friends ever since. As fans of real and craft ale, the Beer Brothers started experimental home brewing using a simple pot and pan set up on a cooker top at home. Upon tasting their first brew, they realised they had made something special! This small batch went onto become Beer Brothers signature ‘Altbier’. In January 2015, with other beers added to the range, Beer Brothers were ready to brew on a larger scale and work began building a small microbrewery. The response to the beers from customers was staggering, with many cask beers selling out within a couple of hours of being on the pump and bottled beers flying off the shelves. With demand increasing, Beer Brothers soon outgrew its original space and equipment. In April 2017, with investment secured, work began on upscaling to Beer Brothers’ new premises.
Although still a microbrewery, modern tanks allow us to brew beer on a larger scale to keep up with demand, whilst closely controlling the quality. The addition of our brewery outlet shop means customers can purchase their favorite beer direct from the heart of the operation.
Phill and David remain at the centre of the company and continue to brew the beer themselves.
At Beer Brothers we have a growing range of beers. Check out some of our most popular below...
A ruby coloured, top fermented, Dusseldorf style ale. Cold, conditioned and aged for a crisp, fruity finish.
German style crisp golden top fermented beer. With Saaz hops and orange peel to accentuate the citrus bouquet.
A dark, lightly carbonated, full-bodied beer with hints of liquorice and tart berries.
